Scott's passion for traditional and modern martial arts was ignited at a young age. Growing up with a family on the move in New England, he found solace in the natural world and the wilderness, which became a second home to him. Scott worked as a wilderness survival guide for years, where he combined his love of wrestling with his passion for human movement and healing.

After attending Hampden-Sydney College for Biology and Chemistry, Scott realized that the western medical world was not for him. He returned to the woods for two years to further explore his interests. Seeking to expand his knowledge in the strength and conditioning world, Scott completed an internship at Mike Boyles Gym in Boston and got certified in massage therapy and other manual disciplines. He worked for Mike for several years as the Martial Arts and Individual Sport Olympic and Pro Coach.

Scott also worked with Kevin Carr at Movement As Medicine in the therapy world, where he gained thousands of hours of experience working with clients in one-on-one therapy sessions. His passion for Jiu Jitsu led him to take Travis Stevens on as an athlete before the Rio Olympics. In trade for training, Scott became a student of Jiu Jitsu under Travis and continues to train with him to this day, seven years later. Scott now runs his own Jiu Jitsu classes out of FUJI Martial Arts in Wakefield, where he works with clients both in-person and online.
